Rodriguez has a rich background in working with youth and women's basketball. He is currently the Vice President and Director of Operations of the MCW Starz LLC. With the Starz, he is responsible for coaching, recruiting and organizing AAU teams composed of elementary school, middle school and high school players. In just 23 seasons, he has helped 300 high school student-athletes earn a spot on a college basketball roster.

He has also worked for the past 10 years with the Boston Centers for Youth and Families. During his decade of work with BCYF, he has worked as an Athletic Director, as the President of the Board of the Boston Elite Program and as a Youth Worker. In those roles, he has helped inter-city youth in their academics and athletics, while fostering a positive team and program culture. Rodriguez graduated from Salem State University in 1999 and currently works as a Behavioral Therapist at Newton South High School, where he also serves as the head coach of the softball team.
